Duties include:
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
- Diagnose causes of breakdowns, test parts with appropriate instruments, disassemble and assemble parts, and make necessary repairs to equipment and associated components.
- Troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems such as rooftop package units, ventilation systems, etc.
- Refrigeration equipment knowledge is a plus: Rack systems, walk-in coolers.
- Perform preventative maintenance, replacement, modifications, repairs, overhauls, and start-ups of commercial HVAC systems.
- Control wiring and high voltage
- Works in a team-based environment to share information and workload while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Must work in a safe manner daily and ensure that all safety measures are always taken.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Flexibility to work overtime, on-call and weekends required.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience
- Ability to climb ladders.
- Moderate lifting (up to 50 pounds)
- Excellent Customer Service Skills
- Electrical and Mechanical Diagnostic Skills
- Ability to complete repairs and required paperwork.
- Ability to work independently and without supervision.
- Self-motivated to complete assigned tasks within time constraints.
- Periodically ‘on call’ for service coverage
- Local travel may be required.
Education:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- EPA certification
Experience:
- HVAC: 5 years
- RTU’s up to 100 Tons
- Water cooled and air-cooled chillers.
- DX systems up to 100 Tons
- Refrigeration: Rack systems, walk-in coolers
- Pumps: Rebuild, Install/replace
- Ice machines
License/Certification:
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
- EPA Certification- Type I & Type II or Universal Preferred
